Kerry Ellis and Brian May were among those who attended the memorial service for Flt Lt Jon Egging today, at Lincoln Cathedral. Kerry and Brian had flown with “Eggy” earlier this year, prior to their Anthems concert at RAF Cranwell. The following article appeared in today’s Daily Mail:

Anthems in the Park is an event Brian May and Kerry Ellis will play on 16 July 2011. This is a concert separate from their tour and is a personal journey back for Brian: Brian’s mother and father both served in the Royal Air Force and met at Cranwell.
