Read what Kerry thought about the night:

“I was honoured to perform my very own ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ special. Over the years I have been part of many of these shows so this was a real privilege. Anthony Cherry the producer has been very supportive to me over the years and this was the icing on the cake. I was live on stage at the Watford Colosseum with the fantastic BBC concert orchestra, conductor Steve Sidwell, Capital Voices and my special guest Ramin Karimloo and Jonathan Ansel, Brian also played a little section with me which was very emotional.

I had some amazing new arrangements from Craig Adams as well as performing a couple of tracks from Anthems. The show was packed with songs I have performed before and some big band classics with a few new songs too.

I loved the whole thing and hope to do it again some day.”

  1. How refreshing to listen to Kerry Ellis on FNIMN,some great songs and guests. Nice to hear the little fluffs during her introductions and the laughter.Bought the Musicals Album in Feb and played it in the car, my 10 yr old g/son said ,its the scary lady from Wicked.I confess had never heard of it but it has become our top song to play. I am now completely bowled over by Kerry’s voice and have caught up on u.tube. So sorry i never made it to The Watford Col but replaying Royal Command performance with Brian May makes up for it.Great stuff, wish you well.

  2. Wow! This was amazing! Kerry’s new version of ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ was so amazing. Completely changed the feel of the song and made something new, intimate and something that worked so well as if it was always meant to be. Same story for her new version of ‘Defying Gravity’! Thanks to all who made this concert possible, it was amazing!!!
P.S. If Kerry gets to see this please, please, please record these 2 versions of your next album!
